Dr. Kenenisa Lemie met with Kenya’s ambassador to Ethiopia, Galma M. Boru.

Dr. Kenenisa Lemie, Secretary General of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA), met with Kenya’s ambassador to Ethiopia, Galma M. Boru.
The meeting’s primary objective is on how to strengthen the business relationships between the two neighboring countries.
Despite the strong government-to-government and people-to-people ties between these two sister nations, the volume and degree of trade is not what was anticipated. As a result, it is preferable to take advantage of the business prospects that exist between both countries.
According to Dr. Kenenisa, economic cooperation must be promoted because the two countries share communities, languages, histories, and many other things.  Therefore, the secretary general stated, “Kenya and Ethiopia’s chamber-to-chamber relations must work hand in hand to bring both countries’ businesses to work cooperatively for mutual benefits.”
According to Ambassador Galma M., Kenyan companies are keen to collaborate with Ethiopian counterparts in Ethiopia, just as they do in other Kenyan neighboring countries like Tanzania.
He also pointed out that Kenyan banks, oil firms, and other businesses are willing to engage in Ethiopia as Safaricom does, and that Kenyan businesses are interested in buying agricultural products from Ethiopia, such as beans, lentils, and soybeans.
They also talk about how businesses in both countries need to take advantage of the African continental free trade area agreement.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Helen Reta, ECCSA’s deputy secretary general, as well as other management staff.

የኢትዮጵያ ንግድና ዘርፍ ማኅበራት ምክር ቤት ዋና ጸሐፊ ዶ/ር ቀነኒሳ ለሚ በኢትዮጵያ ከኬንያ አምባሳደር ጋልማ ኤም ቦሩ ጋር ተወያይተዋል።
በውይይታቸውም የሁለቱን ጎረቤት ሀገራት የንግድ ግንኙነት ማጠናከር በሚቻልባቸው ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ተነጋግረዋል፡፡
በእነዚህ ሁለት እህትማማች ሀገራት መካከል የመንግስት ለመንግስት እና የህዝብ ለህዝብ ትስስር ጠንካራ ቢሆንም የንግዱ መጠንና ደረጃ ግን በሚጠበቀው ልክ አይደለም። ስለሆነም በሁለቱም ሀገገራት መካከል ያለውን የቢዝነስ ትስስር ማጠናከር እንደሚገባ ተነስቷል፡፡
ዶክተር ቀነኒሳ ሁለቱ ሀገራት ማህበረሰቦችን፣ ቋንቋዎችን፣ ታሪክን እና ሌሎች በርካታ ነገሮችን ስለሚጋሩ የኢኮኖሚ ትብብር ማሳደግ እንደሚገባ ገልጸዋል፡፡
የኬንያና የኢትዮጵያ የንግድ ምክር ቤት ግንኙነት ማጠናከርና እጅ ለእጅ ተያይዘው በመስራት የሁለቱም ሀገራት ቢዝነሶች በትብብር እንዲሰሩ ማድረግ ይገባል ብለዋል ዋና ጸሐፊው።

አምባሳደር ጋልማ ኤም በበኩላቸው የኬንያ ኩባንያዎች እንደ ታንዛኒያ ባሉ ሌሎች የኬንያ ጎረቤት አገሮች እንደሚያደርጉት ሁሉ በኢትዮጵያ ካሉ የቢዝነስ አቻዎቻቸው ጋር በጋራ መስራት እንደሚፈልጉም ገልጸዋል፡፡
የኬንያ ባንኮች፣ የነዳጅ ድርጅቶች እና ሌሎች ቢዝነሶች እንደ ሳፋሪኮም ሁሉ በኢትዮጵያ በኢንቨስትመንት ለመሰማራት ፈቃደኛ መሆናቸውን ጠቁመው የኬንያ ቢዝነሶች ከኢትዮጵያ የግብርና ምርቶችን ማለትም እንደ ባቄላ፣ ምስር እና አኩሪ አተር ያሉ የግብርና ምርቶችን ለመግዛት ፍላጎት እንዳላቸው ጠቁመዋል።
ከአፍሪካ አህጉራዊ ነፃ የንግድ ቀጠና ስምምነት የሁለቱ ሀገራት ድርጅቶች እንዴት መጠቀም እንዳለባቸውም በውይይቱ ላይ ተነስቷል።
በውይይቱም የምክር ቤቱን ምክትል ዋና ፀሐፊ ወ/ሮ ሄለን ረታ እና ሌሎች የማኔጅመንት ሰአባላት ተገኝተዋል።
