A team from Expertise France Group AFD’s ECOTRADE project talks with Dr. Kenenisa Lemie, Secretary General of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA)

A team from Expertise France Group AFD’s ECOTRADE project talks with Dr. Kenenisa Lemie, Secretary General of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA), about cooperation on projects.

They stated how the two organizations could work together in a number of areas, including women in business, export value addition, academic and private sector collaboration, and the agricultural value chain.

Dr. Kenenisa stated in his statement that since ECCSA is working on TVET by opening its center, collaboration with Ecotrade and work on the integration and cooperation of the private sector and TVET institutions and other higher academic institutions is important.

Furthermore, he stated that ECCSA is thrilled to collaborate with Ecotrade on a number of business sectors throughout the country.

Augustine Dwusu, the project team leader, says it is preferable to work by identifying the sectors that need to be filled in terms of capacity building, developing PPD platforms, and other value-adding sectors.

They also discuss how to improve training and e-learning platforms, enhance public-private dialogue, and encourage women in business in a number of ways.

ECCSA promised to provide the expert and technical assistance required to make an important contribution to the accomplishment of the projects that Ecotrade works on.
