Center for International Private Enterprises (CIPE) delegation held fruitful discussion with Kenenissa Lemie (Dr), Secretary General of Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association(ECCSA) on enhancing businesses role in national economic Development.
ECCS Secretary general briefed the delegations the main missions of ECCSA such as Trade and investment promotion, Research and Advocacy as well as capacity building of the member Chambers and individual businesses to enable them competent in a worldwide business environment.

CIPE delegation led by Lola Adekanye, CIPE Africa Hub Director also discussed that the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), a core grantee of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), has been aligning its operations with the foreign policy and economic priorities of the Trump administration. Thus, CIPE’s focus is shifted from funding to developing together by facilitating the development of business environment realizing mutual befits that attracting American Businesses in prioritized sectors like Mining Lola Adekanye said.
The discussants from both side agreed to work on the common issues that enhance the role private sector in national economic development. Accordingly the initiatives ECCSA in hand are totally aligned with that of CIPE’s, Mr Hailemelkot Asfaw, CIPE Ethiopia Country Director added.
