Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSSA) Management team led by Secretary General Dr. Kenenisa Lemie, held fruitful discussion with United Nations population Fund (UNFPA) Ethiopia on women Capacity Building.

ECCS Secretary General briefed the delegations the main missions of ECCSA such as Trade and investment promotion, Research and Advocacy as well as capacity building of the member Chambers and individual businesses to enable them competent in a worldwide business environment.

Mr, Koffi Kouame UNFPA Country Representative Ethiopia, also briefed ECCSA delegation that UNFPA is the lead UN agency in promoting sexual and reproductive health, including family planning, comprehensive sexuality education and maternal health services. UNFPA works with partners to strengthen health systems, including through the training of midwives, who when properly trained could avert two thirds of maternal and neonatal deaths.

Accordingly, UNFPA is working with the government and other partners to promote gender equality as well as investments in education and opportunities for young people. It supports policies and programmes that promote gender equality at all levels Mr. Koffi added. Thus, both parties agreed to work together on capacitating women with special attention to fistula survivors to engage them in Businesses.
በዋና ጸሃፊው ዶ/ር ቀነኒሳ ለሚ የተመራ የኢትዮጵያ የንግድና ዘርፍ ማኅበራት ምክር ቤት የስራ አመራር ቡድን ከተባበሩት መንግስታት የስነ ሕዝብ ፈንድ (UNFPA) ኢትዮጵያ ጋር በሴቶች አቅም ግንባታ ላይ ውጤታማ ውይይት አካሄደ።
ዋና ፀሀፊው  በምክር ቤቱ ታሪካዊ ዳራና ዋና ዋና ተልዕኮዎች ዙሪያ ለተባበሩት መንግስታት የስነ ሕዝብ ፈንድ (UNFPA) አባላትም በቂ ማብራርያ ሰጥተዋል፡፡ምክር ቤቱ ሴቶች ወጣቶችና አካል ጉዳተኞች በቢዝነስ ውስጥ ተሳታፊ እንዲሆኑም ተገቢውን ድጋፍ እያደረገ መሆኑን አስረድተዋል፡፡

የተባበሩት መንግስታት የስነ ሕዝብ ፈንድ (UNFPA) የኢትዮጵያ ተወካይ ሚስተር ኮፊ ኩዋሜ በበኩላቸው UNFPA ከመንግስት እና ከሌሎች አጋር አካላት ጋር በመሆን በስርዓተ ጾታ እና በአጠቃላይ የሥነ ተዋልዶ ጤና ላይ እንደሚሰራ ገልፀው በተለይም ለፊስቱላ ተጠቂ ሴቶች ልዩ ትኩረት ሰጥቶ እንደሚሰራ አስረድተዋል፡፡

በመሆኑም ከኢትዮጵያ የንግድና ዘርፍ ማህበራት ምክር ቤት ጋር በመተባበር  ከፊስቱላ ያገገሙ  ሴቶች በንግድ ሥራ እንዲሰማሩ ለማድረግ በአቅም ግንባታና በቢዝነስ ግንዛቤ መፍጠር ዙሪያ አብሮ ለመስራት እንደሚፈልጉ አስታውቀዋል፡፡ በውይይታቸውም ይህንን ሴቶችን በተለይም የፊስቱላ ተጠቂዎችን ተጠቃሚነት በሚያረጋግጠው ፕሮጀክት ላይ በጋራ ለመስራት ተስማምተዋል።
